uventa takes us on a physical and visual performance art experience which moves us between different layers of time and ‘reality.’ Two parkour performers, one musician, and live audio and video projection take us on unexpected transitions and shifts between these realities – into a surreal, multi-dimensional space. uventa allows us to get close to the two performers. They have to negotiate weight and gravity, find handholds, help each other. They take risks, become red and exhausted, sit on perches, climb or fall, balance above the audience.

The stage design – a sturdy structure of pipes and clamps – is transformed into shadow cities or a stream of pixels and light which swallows people and bodies. An invisible structure of networks and connections. Bodies reach across impossible distances and make unexpected impressions. Multiplying algorithms, recreated identities, games, traces and surveillance – everything is fluid and floating. The parkour routes in the information network shift us back again – to the performers, the physical bodies and the impossible feats they can achieve. This is parkour with an extreme physicality but minimalist methods. uventa allows the audience to be overwhelmed, but also to recognise the risk and not least the playfulness in our own bodies.
