Gift Vouchers.
Give dance as a gift. Buy a gift voucher! You decide on the amount.
Our gift vouchers are valid for two years, and can be used to buy tickets. A voucher contains a total amount which you draw on when you buy tickets.
We have all stood in a shop, trying to find the perfect gift for the person who has everything – and couldn’t find it, of course. So why not give a cultural experience instead?
A gift voucher for dance could be a first encounter with the art form for someone who is unfamiliar with it, or a wonderful subsidy for someone who already watches a lot of dance.
When the recipient buys tickets, the amount is deducted from the total amount on the gift voucher. Recipients can therefore pay for guests with the gift voucher, or pay something towards tickets, depending on the amount on the gift voucher.
Give a gift voucher to someone to whom you would like to give a great experience – that first wonderful experience could lead to many more!

Brief description of the audience areas
1. You enter Dansens Hus through a large glass door to the right in the large glass facade. There you go through a lock before entering the audience area.
2. The ticket booth and bar are located to the left as you enter the venue.
3. Cloakroom to the right. These are simple clothes racks where you can hang up your clothes.
4. The entrance to the main stage is to the right as you enter, just after the cloakroom.
5. Toilets can also be found to the right after the cloakrooms and the entrance to the Main Stage, but before a large, blank, black wall.
6. If you want to go to the Studio Stage, you have to walk about 50 meters through the entire bar area and into a hallway where the Studio Stage is located at the end.
Accessibility
At some performances, we offer adaptation services aimed at people with various types of disabilities. In some performances these are integrated into the artistic expression, in other performances this is an extra offer initiated by Dansens Hus.
The most common offers are:
Touch tour
A touch tour is a guided experience for the visually impaired or blind in the performance's stage area where the scenography, costume or other key elements are presented in a tactile and descriptive way. Touch tours are free of charge but require registration, and are arranged in advance of some performances.
Visual interpretation
The entire performance is interpreted live by a visual interpreter for the visually impaired or blind. The audience must bring their own smartphone that can connect to a wireless network, and earplugs/headset that can be connected to the phone.
Sign language interpretation
The performance will be sign language interpreted for the deaf and hard of hearing by an interpreter standing visibly and interpreting text performed on stage.
Relaxed performance
At a relaxed performance, you can come and go during the performance. Sometimes it will be dimmed in terms of lighting, sound and other sensory impressions.
Practical information
Parking
If you come by car and need to park, the most convenient place is in the Vulkan multi-storey car park. The car park has dedicated disabled parking spaces, and there is a lift down to the ground floor. If you will be dropped off by car, the best place is beside the entrance to our administration wing at the junction between Vulkan and Møllerveien. It is about 100 metres from there to the main entrance. The barriers in Vulkan street are open until 13:00 every day. After that, you must phone the 24-hour Vulkan phone line, +47 934 17 000 if you need to get the barriers opened. It’s worth noting that you would then have to drive in and out past the entrance to the Dansens Hus administration wing (next to Møllerveien), not via the Mathallen end, because the barriers here have to be opened manually by attendants.
Tickets
We have dedicated wheelchair spaces at all our of productions. At the time of purchase, select the Wheelchair price category, any applicable discounts, and a carer ticket if applicable. Carers get free tickets at any production for which you can buy a ticket.
Hearing loop
The auditoriums do not have hearing loops, but the combination of good acoustic conditions, optimised sound systems and expert audio technicians mean that the audio conditions are excellent for everyone.
Toilets
The toilets are at the right-hand side of the foyer as you enter Dansens Hus. There is also a separate disabled toilet.
Interpretation services
We do not normally offer interpretation services at our productions. If this is something that is available, this will be communicated on the specific production website page.
Universal web accessibility
Our website is designed to be accessible, with flexible text that can be resized according to user needs.
Bar/box office
Our bar counter acts as both our bar and box office. The section that is mainly used as the box office is at a lower height, and can also be used to order from the bar by anyone who needs a lower counter.
Allergies
We have a small but tasty bar menu. Our food is labelled with a list of ingredients.
Emergency exits
The emergency exits in both the foyer area and Dansens Hus bar and in the auditoriums have signs in accordance with the regulations.
