KRETS is about your circle! The group you feel at home with—or dream of joining. It’s the warmth of community and the eternal question of the outsider: “Where is my place among all the others?” A circle can be a flock, a team, a group of friends, a ring, a spiral, or an electrical grid. It’s swallows circling in the thousands without colliding, and the brief, brilliant life cycle of a mayfly. It’s about moving in circles, orbiting each other—and, when the stars align, suddenly being in perfect sync.

In KRETS, the stage is filled with a medieval castle shaped like a spiral of hanging tapestries. On these tapestries, heroes and saints are replaced by the company’s own superstars, inspired by species from nature. On stage, professional dancers and musicians—with and without disabilities—come together to explore community through movement and music. KRETS expands the world for children: How joyful, strange, wild, and boundless can dance truly be? The goal is an open circle, a circle where there’s room for everyone. Yes, even you!
