KRETS is a relaxed and imaginative performance for children aged 4 and up.

KRETS is about your circle! The group you feel at home with — or try to sneak your way into. It’s about the warmth of community and the feeling of being left out, that eternal question: “Where is everyone else?” A circle can be a group of friends, a team, a flock — or a ring, a circle, an electrical circuit. It’s about moving in circles, orbiting one another and — when the stars align — suddenly being in perfect sync. Magic!
In the performance KRETS, we are thrown into a futuristic, magical Middle Ages where mythical figures and symbols are allowed to shine. There are no gods here, only nature’s own superstars filling the space with their unique circular energy. KRETS reminds us that we are all guests on this planet, and that we truly belong together in one great, round cycle of life.
On stage, professional dancers — both with and without disabilities — come together to explore community through the body. With KRETS, they expand the world for children: How fun, strange, wild, and boundless can dance art really be? Here we open the doors of community wide, stand shoulder to shoulder, and perhaps discover that there is room for everyone. Yes, even you!
So come join the circle. We promise: no one has to stand outside.
