She has created more than 20 full-length performances for her own company, Ingun Bjørnsgaard Prosjekt, which was established in 1992. In parallel with her work for the company, she has been commissioned as a guest choreographer by ensembles such as the Norwegian National Ballet, Kungliga Baletten Stockholm, GöteborgsOperans Danskompani, Tanztheater Bremen and Tanzcompagnie Oldenburg, Komische Oper Berlin, Carte Blanche and CCN Ballet de Lorraine, Nancy.Ingun Bjørnsgaard studied at the Norwegian National Academy of Ballet in Oslo and the Martha Graham School of Contemporary Dance in New York.
