Workshop: Geir Hytten x PRODA

The inspiration for this workshop comes from our relationship to the future. This is a strange uncertainty that settles in our bodies, and can be exemplified by today's environmental challenges. The workshop wants to find strategies that can bring out the unresolved, where some nagging feelings do not let you get a hold of you and drag you through uncomfortable dance interactions. In this work, dance is not given a form of redemption, and is thus diagnostic of our time; where are we heading? In our attempts to accommodate the necessary climate measures, everyone experiences a sense of being overwhelmed and exhausted by the impossibility of the task and lack of actual mastery. But as opposed to creating an unambiguous image of uncertainty as negative and problematic, this work allows for a more open and exploratory starting point. What is it like to experience uncertainty, and what kind of dance does this entail?
