Limitless by Mohanad Smama

Limitless takes the audience into the heart of Gaza and portrays the dancer’s attempts to rediscover memories, words and dreams about who he once was, who he is now, and who he tries to be while his home and homeland are being obliterated. Based on his own experiences, Limitless reflects the battle to survive through physical experiences, and Smama combines Palestinian folklore with contemporary dance and visual elements. The production is an ongoing dialogue between the dancer and his own body, while he tries to take control of the flood of thoughts and emotions in order to regain control of his own life by dancing in different places – through repeated expulsions within Gaza, and eventually out of Gaza.
