Praxisfestivalen

Årets Praxisfestival har overskriften The Past and the Curious og fokuserer på&nbsp; ulike retninger i den vestlige scenekunstens historie. De tre festivalkunstnerne Benoît Lachambre/Par B.L.eux, Jamie Scott og Lars Øyno gjør arven fra henholdsvis postmoderne dans i USA på 60-tallet og arven fra Antonin Artaud tilgjengelig for deltagere og publikum. Gjennom valg av tema ønsker vi å stille spørsmål om den fysiske arven vi som scenekunstnere er bærere av, kunstnerisk utholdenhet og bærekraft, og hva vi bærer med oss i våre fremtidige kunstverk og kunstnerskap – og som publikum blir en del av.
 
Festivalen starter med en kunstnersamtale i foajeen på Dansens Hus søndag 20. august klokka 17. Denne er gratis og åpen for alle. Deretter følger 5 dager med workshops for profesjonelle scenekunstnere. Festivalen avsluttes med seminar og forestillinger på Dansens Hus lørdag 26. og søndag 27. august. PROGRAM 
SATURDAY 12-16 SEMINAR:
The seminar will give a sneak peek into the artistic practice of Benoît Lachambre and Lars Øyno. They will both have a session each where they share exercises and tools from their practice, followed by conversation lead by Per Roar. As the seminar includes both doing and talking, bring comfortable clothes to move in. The seminar is free, but we need your registration because we serve vegan soup in the end of the day. 19-20.45 PERFORMANCE:
The first part of the performance is with participants from the workshop&nbsp;<a href="http://www.praxisfestivalen.com/workshop-2/" target="_blank">The actor and the alchemy</a>&nbsp;lead by Lars Øyno. The second part is a solo by and with Benoît Lachambre.
21.30 HISTORICAL EMBODIED AEROBICS:
Olive Bieringa and Otto Ramstad will lead us into an historical embodied dance floor.

SUNDAY 
15-16 PERFORMANCE & SCREENING OF WORKS BY TRISHA BROWN:

Sunday is Trisha-day! Participants from the workshop Set and reset are doing a showing based on the piece Set and reset by Trisha Brown and afterwards we will show movies of other works by her. There will be popcorn! 
16.30 BARBECUE IN THE PARK: Everybody are welcome, bring your own food!
